Located in the Burgio district, in the industrial area of ​​Butera, the new plant is divided into three production areas for the processing of liquid phase products, solid phase products and dried products for a total area of ​​25,000 square meters. A warehouse with 2500 platform spaces ensures an important storage of the processed products.

Our company supplies semi-finished raw material obtained from prickly pear plants for the food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic B2B sector. We create numerous dry products and extracts from cladodes and fruits of the Opuntia ficus indica plant using proprietary technologies. The great commitment in the development of verticalized machines on the mechanical and cold processing of cladodes allows us, to date, to be the first and only in the world to offer on an industrial scale an integral organic cladode gel extract with intact chemical-physical properties. In addition to semi-finished products, we offer our customers all the documentation, scientific knowledge and assistance necessary for the development of formulas or variants that can satisfy specific production needs in subsequent processing.

Sustainability

Creating new products is a very complex challenge for those who have, as an absolute condition, the sustainability of processes, crops and farmers. The sustainability of the manufacturing processes is guaranteed by lines that use electricity from photovoltaic panels during the day. Dryers use heat generated by biomass boilers. The crops are organic and the dripline irrigation systems are electronically managed by automated systems that optimize water resources thanks to numerous sensors installed directly in the field that monitor the state of the plants and require sectorized irrigation only when necessary. Respect for the biological phases of the crops pushes us to create processing time windows ranging from:
- From October to May of the following year for the production of gels and supplements from cladodes.
- June for the collection of cladodes. flowers
- From August to September for fruit processing.

A group of very young people in love with Sicily and strongly convinced of the enormous development potential that the territory can offer. We are determined to become the European reference for Opuntia Ficus Indica products.
